Are We Preaching To The Choir?

Do you ever feel like we are preaching to the choir when we get together to talk about Agile? Sure, having speakers come talk is affirming and helps us understand more about what is going on in the Agile community. The question becomes, what are we doing to help everyone else understand more about the value of Agile?

At the last planning meeting, the APLN Atlanta team came up with a great idea. Rather than have speakers come in to talk to fellow Agilists, how about we arrange for speakers to come and talk at other community events. What if we could create an Agile buzz in the non-Agile development community?

I have reached out to contacts at AITP and TAG and they are very interested in working with us to bring an Agile speaker into both communities. The question now becomes, how do we get the pieces together to pull it off? At our next meeting we will lay out a strategy for making this happen.
