March 17th Chapter Meeting

Thanks to everyone that came out for the last APLN Atlanta chapter meeting. Thanks to Martin Westbrook for managing it in my absense. I had a busy February and was actually able to come to nothing! It is a sign of a good team when they get things done without you. We are forming a good team, so thanks!

I have taken the guidance given to us from APLN national, the planning notes from our last chapter meeting, and notes from the Dallas summit retrspective and created a backlog for the Atlanta summit.

I propose we do several things at the upcoming meeting:

1. Estimate our backlog and set a planning velocity. We'll have fun,maybe do some planning poker.
2. Conduct a 'futurespective' for the Atlanta summit. This willbasically set the major milestones for the event and identify anypotential issues and risks.
3. Identify a committee chair for each of the key positions.
4. Set a weekly/bi-weekly conference call schedule.

Ian created a hosted VersionOne instance to help us manage our backlog. I will get each of you an account in the system so that wecan begin actively managing this initiative and tracking our progress.

We'll also need updates from Ian on how the Dallas summit went and the status of Paul our marketing guy. Rick Austin can give us an update on how the CF conference went. Thanks much, looking forward to seeing everyone this month.
